Accessibility

Last Updated: October 13, 2026

We want nnyyxx to work for everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification, captions or other assistive technology. Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA across nnyyxx.

What you can do on nnyyxx today

  • Keyboard: nnyyxx is built to be used with a keyboard, and the optional keyboard shortcuts in your settings walk feeds, forums and comments without a mouse.
  • Image descriptions: you can describe each image you post, and the description is read to people who cannot see it.
  • Sensitive media: images marked sensitive stay covered until you choose to show them.
  • Vessel themes: vessel owners choose their own colors, fonts and backgrounds. Turn vessel themes off below and every vessel shows in the standard nnyyxx look on this device. When you are signed in, the same switch is under accessibility in your settings.

Where it falls short

Much of what you see on nnyyxx is made by the people who post it. Vessel owners choose their own colors and fonts (a vessel on its own custom domain keeps its theme even with vessel themes off), and an image, video or song may arrive without a description or captions. Some content embedded from other sites is outside our control. We keep improving our own pages and the tools that help people make theirs accessible.

Tell us about a barrier

If something on nnyyxx is hard or impossible to use, tell us through our contact form (choose “something is broken”) or at [email protected]. Include the page and what you were trying to do, and we will work on a fix or another way to get you what you need.
